Kept: privacy policy
Last updated 10 August 2026 · Operated by Kyle Hudson · kyle@stacklist.com
Scope
Kept is a private, single-user task-capture tool operated by and for its owner. It has no other users and no customer accounts.
What is collected
Only what the owner sends it: the text of notes and to-do items captured through the web app, email, SMS, or a connected assistant, along with the timestamp and which channel it arrived on. Kept does not track visitors, run advertising, or use analytics or tracking cookies. The only cookie set is the session cookie required to keep the owner signed in.
How it is used
Captured text is stored in a private database and processed to organise it: deriving a short title, an effort estimate, and a priority score, so the owner’s own tasks can be surfaced back to him at useful moments. It is used for nothing else.
Service providers
Kept runs on Railway (hosting and database) and Vercel (web app), uses Supabase for sign-in, AgentMail for the email address, and Twilio for SMS. Captured text is sent to Anthropic and OpenAI solely to organise it for the owner. These providers process data on the owner’s behalf; none of them are given data for their own purposes, and nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.
Retention and deletion
Captured items are retained until the owner deletes them. Because there are no other users, requests to access or delete data can be made directly to the contact address below.
SMS
See the SMS opt-in and consent policy for how consent works, what messages are sent, and how to stop them.
