What Kept is

Kept is a private, single-user task-capture tool. Its owner sends himself notes and to-do items, which are saved into his own private task list. Kept has no customers, no subscribers, and no contact lists.

Who sends messages, and to whom

The only person who messages the Kept phone number is the account owner, from his own mobile phone. The number does not message anyone else. There is no signup form, no purchased list, and no third-party recipients of any kind.

How consent is given (opt-in via text)

Consent is established by the owner texting the number. He initiates every conversation from his own phone; the system never sends a message to a number that has not messaged it first. Because the sender and the recipient are the same person (the account owner), there is no separate opt-in form to complete.

Messages from any phone number other than the owner’s are ignored and are not replied to.

What messages are sent

One message only: a short receipt sent back to the owner’s own phone confirming that the note was saved. Nothing else is ever sent. The full text of the reply is:

No marketing, promotional, or solicitation content is ever sent. Message frequency is low and varies with use, typically a few messages per day at most.
